Advanced Seismic Data Acquisition and Processing Course
Introduction:
The module will introduce and develop the concepts required to understand how seismic data are acquired and processed prior to interpretation and enable the trainee to understand how the data output can be affected by the methods and techniques used.
Course Objectives:
The overall objective is to introduce E&P professionals to basic concepts and principles of seismic data acquisition and processing that affect interpretation. Learning objectives are at basic awareness and knowledge levels. Emphasis is on a practical understanding of seismic acquisition, processing, imaging, and data requirements for the extraction of geological and petrophysical information. Data examples and workshops are used to illustrate key concepts, practical issues, and pitfalls as they affect the interpretation and integration of seismic data and information into E&P workflows.
Who Should Attend?
Geoscientists or specifically entry level geophysicists and geologists and engineers who need awareness of seismic methods
